It can be cursing. It can be demonic. It can be anything you want it to be. They can be bipolar opposites. That's so fun. It's like, you can talk about joyous moments. You can talk about weeping sadness, breakups, torment from your parents, from your friends, from the pressures from people. I mean, it's everything, it's everything. And then it's everything happening on the outside. And then it's everything happening from the inside, your feelings and emotions. It's like, it's like an ocean wave coming and going, coming and going. So through writing, you can just make the world saying Poetry.
Doesn't have to make sense. It doesn't not even to you. Sometimes I write things and it's just like, what am I talking about? Like, I think I invented some words while writings, like whether some cumbersome, like, and w and then I like, looked it up later. It just felt good. So I wrote it and I like Googled and like looked it up later. So, no, it does not have to make sense. One of my favorite poets is Shakespeare. I love Shakespeare. I love Shakespeare so much. I found a school and there's so many, but I found a particular school that was introduced to me by this person while I was out.
And I did the research and it was a goal of mine, and I wanted to go, and it took me three summers to go there, but it was my mission. Once I found out about it to go to this school, and I did a summer program, and I immersed myself for five weeks over the summer in Shakespeare, while I was there, I saw 45 Broadway shows. And by weeks I was just a kid in a candy store at all these plays and just singing from the heart and just living through the heart and just reading and hearing and understanding the concepts of the stories and where he was in his life during those certain times, and why certain plays were burst.
One of the things I really admire about the program was the fact that I was able to immerse myself in words, Language, you know, Shakespeare was all about language and the words that we use today, and the meaning of words that they can have the power of the sounds and the words. And it's so beautiful. And they talk about how today we talked so fast and we cut everything off and, you know, you're reading Shakespeare and the words that they use and the expressions that they have were so full and colorful.
And so it just really broke me out of my old molds and into a new way of being like a new spirit of being inspired and a better conviction to lead more with my heart. And to know I'm on my path, it's kind of like, you learn the rules and then you know the rules, and then you break them. You know what I'm saying? There's only one You. So the, my flow and the way I'm going to rhyme and, and write and my do and do things, it's going to be so different than you. It's going to be different than Shakespeare. It's going to be different from all the greats.
And, you know, that's, that's the cool thing about it, because like, it's like you can get brushstrokes of inspiration from other poets and writers and implement them into your work. But the whole thing, it being your work is that it's yours.
