This show is dedicated to inspire you so you can take massive action. This is to get your wheels turning. If you're listening and you're an artist. Hello, welcome. I honor you and your journey.

And if you have any questions or thoughts or comments, please, you know, write a review. You can reach out to me, send me an email at Katie Chonacas at gmail.com or imagine Katie at gmail.com. I have been in the entertainment industry for two decades. Now is 2021. And I have been in the entertainment industry for two decades. I have been traveling the world for two decades and I am here to pave the way and gift you insight and you know, hopefully shape shift your journey. And I'm here for you. So anything that you know, that comes up, rather it be acting modeling, TV, film, hosting, being a photographer, being an artist, you know, a doodler, I'm a doodler in the art world.
Like anything, anything you can think of at all around the world about travel, hacks, you know, networking, anything you can think of, like I am here for you. It can be any subject. And if I don't know, I know someone who does know, and I can put you in touch. Please subscribe to the podcast and smash the five star button and share with all your family and friends. There's going to be links in the below of my new EAP. It's a music video that I had Nikki Scorpio put together. He is amazing. It's on our YouTube channel. So if you check out The Sophisticated Psychos, Youtube page, follow us there and watch all our videos. We have content releasing every single week.
We actually have a new improv series coming up. It's called couples therapy. It's all improv. We did it during the pandemic and our friend Ali, Sandra Levy, boss lady. She's a friend of mine producer, and she's a voiceover artist as well. She plays in the improv series with us. It's called couples therapy. It's going to be coming out shortly here in the next couple of weeks. So you'll be seeing and hearing more about that. So let's just jump into the nitty gritty of things. Okay? So it's show business, right? So you can create all you want. That's cool. And I love creating, and it's so important to have a team people that you can trust people that you honor and value, you know, and it's a business.
So legally things have to be done properly. And recently I met an attorney, Gerard Fox Law. I highly suggest if anything you need taken care of in the law department, contact his office, Jared Fox law.com. He actually has a podcast too. And I highly suggest listening to his podcast. It's called the verdict is in and it's streaming probably everywhere. And I know it's on apple for sure. So recently his law firm has helped me as an artist do some trademarks. So I'm really grateful for Jared. Yeah. So he really, really believes in artists and wants to help artists. And he has a whole team of people east coast to west coast and around the world.
So he's definitely a go-to person also moving right along if you're an actor and you need a website or a musician, DJ model, whatever, my friend Ben, he owns actor gear.com. And when you contact actor gear.com, he'll give you a 10% discount, maybe 15% or something like that. Just let them know that you found him through my podcast and he'll hook you up. It's great. It's, it's like, it's so friendly. It's really friendly. And how the modules are set up. It's it's really like a, B, C, D E blocks putting it all together. So just check out my website, if you haven't already it's chonacas.com. He did my website. So you can get a little sneak peek of what I'm talking about.
Today's podcasts, Hypnotic Energy. So I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, well in the suburbs, but I grew up going to underground rave parties before electronic music was really big in Detroit. And so I saw all these amazing pioneer DJs from around the world come to Detroit. Right. And I would just like go out with my friends and I would see bad boy, Bill and Carl Cox. Who's from Detroit and plastic man. And DieselBoy and just will home K and all these like amazing DJs and drum and bass was my favorite growing up. And I would go and I would dance and I would have such a good time.
And those were the days. Right. And I remember when I was a teenager and I was having those moments and I just, I would reflect in the moment. I'd be like, I'll always remember this moment right now. I'll always remember. These were some of the best times of my whole entire life. Yeah. Yeah. I still feel that they were pretty epic. I really want it to DJ all the DJs. A lot of them were guys. And so I, this friend, April, we called her mouse and my nickname was angel. She had a boyfriend who lived in St. Clair shores where my church is that I went to growing up St. Spirit. And she had a boyfriend who lived in St.
Clair shores. And so I remember one time after a party, we went back to his place because his dad was at the town. And there were like, I dunno, like probably like 30 guys there. There was like so many guys there was like so many guys and just like, not a lot of girls. Right. And he had turntables, he wanted to teach April, you know, and she knew I wanted to learn. So he told her to teach me. And so he, you know, for like a little bit, he kinda like gave me this lesson. And so I'm thinking in my head, and that was like the, like the only lesson I had when I was a teenager. And in my head, if I had a boyfriend who was a DJ, I would have learned. Right. But that didn't happen. And we're, I was living at the time and I don't even know if it existed.
I didn't know about it. If it did. I don't think it did. There wasn't any DJ schools that I could go to. So I ended up going to this DJ school in LA, maybe around four years ago. And it was a one-year program. And I graduated from the program and I learned a lot about what it means to be a DJ. And I was just so wrapped up into acting and I was always taking these acting classes and I was always reading like a hundred page scripts, multiple scripts per week, and, you know, learning all these lines. And you're just like 12 pages, six pages off book, 24 pages. And it was just like so much for the mind to remember all these things when I've been doing it so long. So, you know, I thought like I want, I love being committed.
I love being in, in class. I love learning. And I want to always work on my craft. It's so important as an artist to be always striving and being in action towards your goals, your craft. Right. So I wanted to be able to show up and not memorize anything. I just wanted to be able to show up. So I decided to take a one-year program on music, on deejaying to learn the ins and outs because I loved it so much and I was putting it off and I wasn't going for the bullseye. And I'm like, if not now, when I'm just gonna keep nagging at myself inside, I'll have resentment. If I don't do it, so go and do it. So I went and did it. And the cool thing is it really enhanced my human being.
And it really enhanced my artists because the thing about acting and the thing about being a great listener and a great human being, it's not only talking, talking, talking, but it's listening. So a lot of times when you're on screen acting and you're on tape, or you're doing something with the casting director and you're reading back and forth, you're saying your lines. And then most actors are thinking about their lines or they're nervous, and they're not in the moment of what's going on. So to be a really great actor, it's about listening. It's about what's going on when you're not speaking when the other person's speaking or when it's silent. So I thought, oh, this is going to make me not only a better listener in life or my friends and my colleagues and peers and everything, but it's going to make me a better actor to be able to listen more.
Right. So I, I did this music program and every six weeks it was a, it was a different semester and I would go in and I would listen. And then I would have these, you know, homework assignments to do and stuff, but it was all through, you know, listening. And so it was, it was really cool to be able to, to go and do that and still feel fully committed. It's kind of like when I watch animation movies and TV shows and when I watch Disney plus, and, and marathon, these amazing shows that are on the TV right now, because like I'm totally relaxing and just like indulging and watching these amazing actors and the cinematography and the lighting and looking at the casting directors and the writers and the tones of the shows and the networks and everything.
And so it's, I'm learning and it's still educational, but I'm able to just like, enjoy it without the stress. Right. So you need to find a way to do what you love and approach it in a way where it's advantageous for you. Right. So it's all about a balance. Okay. So if I'm like, oh, I have to like look up YouTube, but there are Google the top 10 video games, and then I watch them online. That's kind of, it's kind of a cool thing, right? To like, know what the top 10 video games are. It's kind of a cool thing to like be interactive and actually play the video games and that's fun, but I I've been watching, oh my God, I saw a saving Mr. Banks. And I learned the Mary Poppins story.
Finally, like, I've been wanting to see that. And oh, Tom Hanks is so good. And the lady doctor she's great. And I watched a lady of the tramp, the, the one that came out last year and it's so cool because it's actors playing it. But then the dogs are voiceover actors. And since I'm into voiceovers, I do voiceovers. It's like, I'm enjoying myself and being highly entertained, but it's, it's great research and education and that, and I'm always learning. I just, I love to always be learning. Yeah. So, okay. Circling back around, I'm in this DJ music program, right? Yeah. And through the journey, I was able to figure out like, what kind of DJ I am, right. I love the pads. I love the colors. I like making beats.
And because of my ear, because of growing up in the Detroit electronic music underground scene, when I was a kid, I have, you know, this ear for Beats. And so I was just passionately just making some beats and Ableton and I've been making them, you know, whatever for the last year. And during the pandemic, I decided just to take all the beats I made, you know, on my two devices and put them together and I counted 22 different Beats. And then I looked at the genres and I broke them down. So now I have five different genres and I'm just going to simultaneously just be releasing these Beats. So that's what I'm going to play for you shortly here. And I'm really excited because the EEP is called Hypnotic Energy and it's going to be on all music streaming platforms.
So if you just type in The Sophisticated Psychos on any music streaming platform, you can hear the Hypnotic energy EAP, this just as a passion, peace of mind. It's from my heart and my soul. Some friends of mine who I've known through the years who are like really into music. So I'm going to have one Grammys and stuff. They're just like, I sent it to a couple of people. I haven't sent it to a lot of people. I sent it to a couple people and they're like, wait a minute, you made this. They're like, you made this. And I'm just like, yeah. They're like, oh wow, it's fire. This is really good. And some people are like, oh yeah, I turned it on. I like zoned out. So I hope you really like it. I'm really, really proud and really happy. It's been a full journey, a full circle to get to these moments, to like nail in that sweet spot.
But sometimes you can just go for the Gusto and go for the gold and just know the sweet spot. And sometimes, you know, there's a journey that's involved for you to find that. And then once you find it, you can hold on to it, cherish and embrace it and, and know the journey. It took you to get to that. And so maybe I'll appreciate it so much more and, and hold onto it and cherish it and hopefully build upon that and whatever it may be, you know, it's just, it's my heart and my soul, and I'm connected to it. And I love the music. And the thing is, it's like, no, one's going to do what you're going to do. Right. No, one's going to do what I'm going to do. There's only one. You there's only one, you know, no matter, no matter if 10 girls are up for the role, no one's going to do it for the same, right. Or if it's like 10 guys, no one's going to do it the same way you're going to do it.
No one has your experience, your life, your thoughts. We have 60 to 70,000 thoughts per day. Joe Dispenza says, Dr. Joe Dispenza, 90% of those thoughts are the same thoughts, right? So this music, I feel helps you create new neuro-transmitters it helps you break down your old patterns and your old thoughts. So when you hear the vibes and the music, it's just really unexpected, right? And that's what music does it like moves you. And I mean, it does a bunch of different things, but these beats in particular, they have healing frequencies. I partnered up with subtle energy, Nikki Scorpio, my music partner turned me on to Eric Thompson at subtle energy.
And he has all these healing frequencies. Nikki had the vision for me to put the healing frequencies on my Beats. So I looked at all the healing frequencies. And the one that stood out to me the most was 6 39 hurts. The reason why 6 39 hurts for this Hypnotic energy EAP is the fact that we're in the middle of a pandemic. We're in the middle of a 20, 20 ultimate reset. All these grids that have been firing and wiring firing and wiring, and go, go, go and building up and you know, not working some, not working and just, they've all come crashing down. And it's just like, you know, the way we've been blaming each other and shaming each other, and the way we've been working with one another based on what our parents taught us based on what, you know, our grandparents taught them.
And so on. Basically I feel like on a planetary level, we all need a lot more forgiveness forgiveness for the past Forgiveness, with ourselves, Forgiveness in our family, Forgiveness with, you know, our relationships. So 6 39 hurts fosters Forgiveness, peace and love in the relationships, as well as simulates the higher heart chakra and 6 39 Hertz reconnects and rebalances your relationships. Not only with other people with, but with yourself as well. Yeah. Rock out here, the vibes, enjoy it. And yeah, I mean, I just put it on in the background while I'm at home while I'm online doing my work, you know, it's great for working out it's, it's just great to just like change up your mind patterns, you know, energy and motion.
That's what energy is, energy emotion. So I hope this moves you and inspires you and yeah. Follow The Sophisticated Psychos on all music streaming platforms and follow The Sophisticated Psychos on YouTube. Like I said, if you have any questions or comments, concerns, anything, please reach out to me at, imagine Katie at gmail.com, I'm here for you. Subscribe to the podcast. If you're not already and share this with someone you want to forgive and share this with someone that you love. Yeah. Oh, one more thing I want to share with you today just started the podcast movement. Virtual seriously, it's the largest podcast conference in the world.
And because of what's happening in the world right now, everything's virtual. I just networked and connected with so many people from Spotify, from Viacom, CBS, you can learn how to enhance your podcast. If you want to get into podcasts, it teaches you how to create a podcast. There's education on marketing tech, society, culture, the industry, monetizing, branding, marketing, your content. You can connect with other podcasters. Mark Cuban is going to be the keynote in two days, there's going to be like a lot of cool keynotes going on and it's just jam packed.
Is it? It's a jam packed conference for, for nine days. So I was all in day one networking today, and I would definitely check it out. They've been on the go since 2014, and this is the first year it's been virtual. You know, if you can jump in this round, totally do it. And they probably have some kind of thing going on. Since it's virtual, it's probably all being recorded where you can like get a pass or something. If you, if you miss out, you could probably still go to the website and tune in and just like, look at the lineup and the speakers. If you can't join in, then maybe you can just like, you know, follow these people on Twitter. Find them on Facebook. They're all on LinkedIn. So I noticed like a lot of them don't have Instagrams. A lot of them have LinkedIn and Twitter.
So you can like look at the schedule and the speakers and just find these people and follow them on social media platforms, if you can jump in this year. But if you can jump in, definitely jump in. Yeah. Check it out for all you podcasters out there or aspiring podcasters. So that's it. And I really appreciate you being here again. Thank you so much to my 700 new fans and followers. It's so mind blowing that here and I want to be here for you in any way possible. So if you want me to do a podcast on a certain topic, then email me, let me know, put it in the comments and I'll make that happen. And I'll even dedicate it to you Coolio.
All right. Until next time over and out. Okay. Cool. Here is my new EP called Hypnotic Energy.
Thank you so much for joining us. We'll see you next time. Kyriaki, over and out.
